CVV response codes

The following table explains the card verification value (CVV) response codes you might receive when you carry out a CVV check or verify a card.

|---|---|
Y | CVV matched |
D | CVV did not match |
P | CVV check was not performed |
N | CVV should be on the card, but merchant has indicated it is not present |
U | Issuer does not support CVV |
X | No CVV information is available |
