Onboard a sub-entity with the Dashboard
Last updated: August 21, 2024
You can use the Dashboard to onboard your sub-entities.
The Integrated Platforms account type assigned to you during your own onboarding determines the information we'll require to onboard the sub-entity.
When you onboard a sub-entity through the Dashboard, you have the option to provide the required information yourself:
- Sign in to the Dashboard.
- Go to Payments > Processing > Sub-entities.
- Select the + Onboard a business option on the page.
- Select the Add sub-entity details now option and fill out the required sub-entity information.
- Enter a unique alphanumeric reference for the sub-entity and select Continue.
- Select the country that the sub-entity is registered in.
- Select the sub-entity's business type.
- Select Begin. You'll be taken to a new screen where you can provide the required sub-entity information.
- Complete the form and select Submit.
If you filled out the form correctly, you'll be taken to the sub-entity's details page.
Information
To invite a sub-entity so they can provide the required information themselves, use the Hosted Onboarding feature.
Once you've submitted the required information, we will automatically trigger the verification process.
To find out what stage of the verification process your sub-entity is currently in, view its status on the Payments > Processing > Sub-entities section of the Dashboard.
If the sub-entity passes, their capabilities will be enabled, as determined by your Integrated Platforms account type. If you are on a Lite account, your sub-entity will have access to payment capabilities. If you are on a Full account, your sub-entity will have access to payment and payout capabilities.
For visibility into the onboarding process, you can view your sub-entity's status in the Dashboard.
If you've set up your webhook receiver, you'll also be notified asynchronously of any changes to your sub-entity's status via the status_changed
webhook.
We only trigger due diligence checks when we have all of the required information. Once the checks are triggered, the sub-entity's status will display as PENDING in the Dashboard. In webhook notifications, the status
will display as pending
.
Information
The outcome of the due diligence checks may affect the sub-entity's capabilities.
You may need to update a sub-entity because some of their details have changed, or to fulfill specific due diligence requirements.
To edit a sub-entity:
- Sign in to the Dashboard.
- Go to Payments > Processing > Sub-entities.
- Select the sub-entity to edit.
- Click on the ... icon and select Edit details. This takes you to a new screen.
- Edit the required details and select Update.
When you update a sub-entity, we may conduct further due-diligence checks when necessary. During these checks, your sub-entity's capabilities will remain unchanged.
