Settlement Statement
Last updated: September 24, 2025
The Settlement Statement provides an overview of your settlement, including a summary of associated financial activities. For example, refunds, chargebacks, and fees. You can give this document to your bank as proof of a given payment from Checkout.com.
To see the specific payments and fees included in the settlement, see your Financial Actions by Payout ID Report.
The statement is created when your settlement is generated, between midnight and 2:00 AM in your entity's settlement time zone.
You receive a statement for every settlement paid out to your bank account, in line with your settlement frequency.
For example, assume that your settlement time zone is America/Los_Angeles
Pacific Time (PT) and your settlement frequency is daily.
You receive a USD
settlement from Checkout.com on August 4, with the payout/settlement ID 00000000CFJU
.
Your Settlement Statement with statement ID 00000000CFJU
, which is created at midnight PT on August 4, explains that settlement.
It includes all financial activities in USD
on August 3, from midnight to 11:59 PM PT.
See instructions on how to download the statement on demand or on a schedule:
Note
All amounts in your statement are expressed in the major currency unit, rounded to two decimal points. For example, a total chargeback fee of 33.33333 USD appears as 33.33 USD on your statement. This makes statements unsuitable for reconciliation.
The statement is provided as a PDF file. By default, the file name uses the following format:
- API and SFTP –
settlement-statement_{EntityID}_{Payout Date: YYYYMMDD}_{Payout ID}.pdf
- Dashboard scheduled reports –
settlement-statement_{EntityID}_{Payout Date: YYYYMMDD}_{Payout ID}.pdf
For SFTP, the statement is uploaded in the following folder structure: {Entity_name} > reports-{Entity_name} > settlement-statements
Dates and times, including the period each statement covers, are in UTC.
