Fee Summary Report

The Fee Summary Report lists all fees and taxes charged to your Checkout.com account during a specified timeframe, including card scheme, Interchange, and Checkout.com fees. This helps you understand and validate your cost-of-sale and cost drivers to identify savings opportunities.
You can generate this report at:
- Client level – For all entities in your Checkout.com account
- Entity level – For a specific entity
The report is provided as a CSV file. By default, the file name uses the following format:
- Client level –
{Start date}-{End Date}-Fee SummaryReport-{ClientName}.csv
- Entity level –
{Start date}-{End Date}-Fee SummaryReport-{EntityName}.csv
This report is only available in the Dashboard, not using the API or Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
The report data is refreshed approximately every 60 minutes.

Sub-accounts are referred to as currency accounts in the report.

Reporting Start Date datetime | The start date of the reporting period, in UTC. |
Reporting End Date datetime | The end date of the reporting period, in UTC. |
Entity ID string | The unique identifier for the entity the fee was charged to. |
Entity Name string | The name of the entity the fee was charged to. |
Processing Channel ID string | The unique identifier for the processing channel configuration, which determines how payments are routed and processed. |
Processing Channel Name string | The name of the processing channel configuration. |
Currency Account ID string | The unique identifier for the sub-account where the balance changed. |
Currency Account Name string | The name of the sub-account that the payment action amount was charged to. |
Action Type string | The type of financial action that the fee was charged for. |
Payment Method string | The payment method used for the financial action. |
Card Type string | The type of card used for the transaction. This can be one of:

Card Category string | The card category used for the transaction. This can be one of:

Card Product Type string | The type of card product used for the transaction. This influences the Interchange fee charged, because card products have different fee structures based on features and issuer agreements. |
Issuer Country string | The country where the card was issued, as a two-digit ISO country code. |
Entity Country string | The country where the entity is located, as a two-digit ISO country code. |
Region string | The region where the transaction took place. This can be one of:

Processing Currency string | The currency of the financial action when processed, as a three-digit ISO 4217 code. |
Breakdown Type string | A description of the type of fee. |
Fee Detail decimal optional | The specific type of card scheme or Interchange fee charged. |
Fixed Fee decimal optional | A pre-determined fee charged per transaction, regardless of the transaction's size or amount. |
Fee Currency string optional | The original currency of the card scheme fee or Interchange fee, as a three-digit ISO 4217 code. |
Variable Fee Rate float optional | The percentage rate charged on the transaction amount, as a decimal. |
Minimum Variable Fee decimal optional | The smallest amount charged as a variable fee, regardless of the calculated percentage. |
Maximum Variable Fee decimal optional | The largest amount charged as a variable fee, which caps the calculated percentage. |
Count string | The number of times the fee was charged. This is not the transaction count. Multiple different types of card scheme fees may be charged for the same transaction. |
Fee Amount in Processing Currency decimal | The total amount of the fee charged (including fixed and variable components) for all transactions in the reporting period. |
Holding Currency string | The currency a balance is held in and paid out in, as a three-digit ISO 4217 code. |
Fee Amount in Holding Currency decimal | The total fee amount converted from the processing currency to the entity's holding currency, if applicable. If the holding currency matches the processing currency, the fee amount is the same in both currencies. The FX rate used for conversions is not included in this report, because it can vary for each fee charged.
