In her role, Claudia is focused on helping Finance adopt AI in a way that is practical, responsible and commercially meaningful. This means upskilling the wider Finance team, identifying real-life use cases and embedding an AI-first mindset into everyday ways of working. Rather than treating AI as a future concept, Claudia is helping the team explore how it can support better decision-making, stronger prioritisation and more efficient operations today. One of the most impactful projects she has led is the creation of an AI Governance and Prioritisation Framework.

“When I moved into this dedicated AI role within Finance, I realised that for us to keep pace, we needed a clear roadmap. We needed to make sure we were building the right things safely and effectively.”

The framework helps evaluate AI use cases by looking at technical feasibility, financial return, risk and compliance. What started as a Finance-first initiative has since become a blueprint adopted by several other departments across Checkout.com. For Claudia, that is what makes the work meaningful. It started with a specific Finance challenge, but has gone on to support broader conversations about how AI can be prioritised and governed across the business.
