Get started with platforms for SaaS
Beta
Last updated: March 25, 2026
Learn how to get started with Platforms for SaaS, from onboarding sub-entities to processing payments on their behalf.
Every seller that processes on your platform is represented as a sub-entity. Before a sub-entity can accept payments or receive payouts, they must complete Checkout.com's verification process.
This process ensures the sub-entity:
Meets regulatory and compliance requirements
Passes financial crime and fraud checks
Complies with applicable laws and card scheme rules
Once successfully verified, the sub-entity is onboarded to your platform and can start processing.
For detailed guidance on the onboarding steps and required information, see Onboard sub-entities.
After a sub-entity has been successfully verified and onboarded, their payment and payout capabilities are activated.
You can then process payments on their behalf through your platform integration.
For more information, see Process sub-entity payments.
You can get payment details or query for specific payments across your sub-entities' payment history.
For more information, see Manage sub-entity payments
When Checkout.com captures funds from customers on behalf of your sub-entities, we can transfer the funds to each sub-entity's bank account as a settlement payout.
You can schedule for your sub-entity to receive settlements at different frequencies, for example, daily, weekly, or monthly in their preferred time zone.
You can get details of your sub-entities' settlement schedules, and update settlement schedules.
For more information, see Manage sub-entity settlements.
You can pay out funds to sub-entities using:
Bank payouts – on demand or on a schedule
Card payouts – on demand only
For more information, see Process sub-entity payouts.
You can get the balances and reserve rules for your sub-entities.
For more information, see Manage sub-entity balances.
Checkout.com provides a range of reports for your and your sub-entities' businesses to support business operations and help you gain insight.
For more information about the available reports, see Retrieve reports.
