Full account
Last updated: December 24, 2025
A Full account is for unregulated platforms that are not licensed to participate in the flow of funds. You must outsource due diligence checks and transaction management for sub-entities to a licensed acquirer.
During onboarding, Checkout.com conducts the following checks on your sub-entities:
- Card scheme screening (CSS)
- Financial Crime Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering checks such as know your customer (KYC), know your business (KYB), politically exposed persons (PEPs), and sanctions.
If successful, their payment and payout capabilities are enabled. You pay funds out directly to your sub-entities using using Bank Payouts or Card Payouts.
You are responsible for managing credit risk and fraud risk, and monitoring your sub-entity activities in accordance with scheme rules.
- Payouts are paid directly to the sub-entity's bank account.
- Any applicable fees are charged to your platform's currency account, but you can pass them on to your sub-entities by transferring funds between currency accounts.
- Funds are routed to your platform and sub-entity's currency accounts, based on the split information you provide with each transaction.
- You can use a transaction's split information to charge your sub-entities a platform commission.
Fees for a Full platform account are distributed as follows:
When you onboard a sub-entity, you can specify one or more holding currencies, such as GBP, or EUR. For each holding currency you specify, Checkout.com creates a corresponding currency account for the sub-entity.
You can also specify the sub-entity's default holding currency. For example, GBP.
When you process payments on behalf of a sub-entity, Checkout.com routes and holds funds as follows:
- Payments processed in GBP are routed to and held in the sub-entity’s GBP currency account.
- Payments processed in EUR are routed to and held in the sub-entity’s EUR currency account.
- Payments processed in any other currency are routed to and held in the sub-entity’s default holding currency account, that is GBP.
Securely transfer funds to your sub-entities' bank accounts using Bank Payouts and Card Payouts.
