To access your payouts analytics in the Dashboard:
- Sign in to the Dashboard.
- Go to Payments > Analytics > Payouts.
When you request a payout, the bank that issued the payment card runs several authorization checks to determine whether to approve or decline the payment. The issuer checks if:
- The card details provided are tied to a real bank account.
- The bank account contains sufficient funds to cover the payment amount requested.
- There are any restrictions in place on the cardholder's account.
Your Payout approval rate is calculated using the following formula:
number of successfully approved payouts / total number of payout requests submitted
The Performance tab displays your payout performance over the payout lifecycle. For example, you can use the data to understand at which stage your payouts typically fail.
The Payout performance graph displays your payout performance over time.
The Performance breakdown table displays your payout performance by:
- Decline reasons
- Issuing countries
- Issuing banks
- Issuing BINs
- Payment methods
The Regions tab displays a comparison of your payout performance for domestic payouts and cross-border payouts.
In the Region breakdown table, you can see a more granular breakdown by Issuing country.
The Declines tab displays insights into the reasons why payouts were declined, segmented by:

Payout failures typically occur due to the following reasons:
- The recipient card is not eligible for payouts because the issuer has not enabled Visa Direct or Mastercard MoneySend.
- The recipient card is not eligible for payouts because it was issued in a region in which the scheme does not support card payouts.
- The recipient card is expired, blocked, or has been reported as lost or stolen.
- You have insufficient funds in your sub-account to fund the transfer.
- The payout request was missing required fields. For example:
amountcurrencycurrency_account_idinstruction.funds_transfer_type
To improve the likelihood of a successful payout, you should:
- Verify that the recipient card is eligible to receive a card payout.
- Verify that you have sufficient funds in your sub-account to fund the transfer.
- Check the outcome of the card payout.
