PINless debit

In the United States, debit cards are co-branded with:

A signature network (such as Visa, Mastercard, or Discover)
A local debit network (also called PINless debit network, such as Star, Accel, NYCE, and Pulse)

You can accept PINless debit payments to process transactions using both networks.

PINless debit payments are supported for merchants based in the United States that process card payments in United States dollars (USD).

To enable PINless debits on your account, contact your Account Manager or [email protected].

Depending on the nature of your business, you may process two types of transactions:

One-time retail purchases – also known as e-commerce transactions
Contracted agreed payments for recurring billing or subscription services – also known as bill pay, or bill payment transactions
Because these types of transactions are processed using a single transaction message, the manual capture flow is not supported for bill payment transactions. Additionally, due to limitations on processing this message, you cannot apply post-authorization rules to these transactions.

You can configure the transaction types that apply to your business when onboarding PINless debit payments for your account.

When integrating PINless debit payments, you can configure the following webhooks:

Webhook	Description
`payment_pending`	Occurs when an asynchronous payment request is successfully initiated. See example
`payment_capture_pending`	Occurs when the payment is authorized, but not yet captured. See example
`payment_captured`	Occurs when a capture is successful. See example
`payment_capture_declined`	Occurs when a capture is declined. See example
`payment_declined`	Occurs when a payment authorization request times out, or if there is a rejection during authorization. For example, due to insufficient funds, the issuer blocking the card, or a Do Not Honor instruction. See example
`payment_expired`	Occurs when the payment expires (not applicable to 3DS payment expiries). See example
`payment_voided`	Occurs when: The payment is voided after authorization. The payment is voided after partial capture, releasing the remaining amount. The payment expires.
`payment_void_declined`	Occurs when the void request is declined.
