Visa expands partial authorization in Europe and Asia Pacific

Visa expands partial authorization in Europe and Asia Pacific

Dec 12, 2023
Stacey Ruggles

From April 13, 2024, Visa is mandating support of partial authorizations on selected MCCs in Europe and Asia Pacific*.

If you operate on the selected MCCs in these regions, you must provide a partial authorization indicator on debit and prepaid purchases.

After this date, if you do not support partial authorizations, Visa will begin charging a non-participation fee of $0.01 USD for each authorization request declined due to insufficient funds.
