We recently extended our API to let you share device data directly, as an alternative to our Checkout.com Risk SDK.
We understand you may already collect device data yourself, or don’t want to integrate the Risk SDK into your frontend. This update gives you the freedom to choose how to provide this data to us.
Sharing device data helps increase acceptance rates and reduce fraud. When we provide it to issuers, it helps them better identify the risk associated with the transaction. This is especially important in SCA regions, as it can help to allow for more Transaction Risk Assessment exemptions.
We’ll also use the anonymized data you provide to improve our Fraud Detection service, helping improve the accuracy and efficiency of our Machine Learning models.
If you’d like to learn more about device data collection, please contact your Account Manager or raise a support request through our webform. We’ll be happy to help.
