# ANI check testing

You can simulate various outcomes for [Account Name Inquiry (ANI)](https://www.checkout.com/docs/payments/authenticate-payments/card-verification.md#Request_an_account_name_inquiry) checks.

To test ANI check results:

1. Send a [card verification request](https://www.checkout.com/docs/payments/authenticate-payments/card-verification.md).
2. Set the `amount` field to `0`.
3. Set the `account_holder.account_name_inquiry` field to `true`.
4. Depending on which outcome you want to simulate, set the following fields to the corresponding values from the table:

    - `account_holder.first_name`
    - `account_holder.middle_name`
    - `account_holder.last_name`
