# Private connections

You can connect to the Checkout.com APIs privately to improve data security using the following private connection methods:

- Mutual TLS (mTLS) – Uses mutual authentication to validate that the client is trusted
- AWS PrivateLink – Reduces data exposure to the public internet by leveraging private networks within the AWS infrastructure
