# Monitor risk performance Monitor the performance of your [Fraud Detection](https://www.checkout.com/docs/business-operations/prevent-fraud.md) risk strategies to ensure they protect you effectively. In the Dashboard, you can: - View risk analytics to see your fraud and block rates over time, the sources of blocked transactions, and rule performance. - Generate a Fraud Detection report to analyze your fraud performance over a specific period. - View assessments of how specific payments were routed through your risk strategies. --- ## View risk analytics Risk analytics show how your strategies perform at the client overview level and more granularly at the entity level. The _Performance_ page tracks your key fraud metrics over time and breaks down the sources of your blocked transactions. If you use [Fraud Detection Pro](https://www.checkout.com/docs/business-operations/prevent-fraud/upgrade-to-pro.md), you can also see the risk scores that Checkout.com's machine learning models assigned to your payments. You need one of the following [user roles](https://www.checkout.com/docs/business-operations/use-the-dashboard/manage-users/user-permissions.md): - Admin - Risk manager - A custom role with the `Create, edit, or delete rules` permission 1. Sign in to the [Dashboard](https://dashboard.checkout.com). 2. In the business entity selector, select an entity. Alternatively, to see analytics across all entities, select the client view. 3. Go to _Payments_ > _Fraud_ > _Performance_. 4. Select the period you want to analyze. Data is available from January 1, 2026. ### Fraud rate and block rate For the period you select, you can view the following metrics: - Fraud rate – the value of your fraud reports compared to your total sales in the period - Block rate – the number of transactions that your risk strategies and ours blocked pre-auth in the period The _Fraud rate vs block rate_ graph plots both metrics over time. You can also see which blocks came from your entity-level risk strategies and which came from ours. The graph view options depend on the period you select: - Daily – available for 1 to 62 days - Weekly – available for 14 days or more - Monthly – available for two months or more ### Blocked transaction breakdown The _Blocked transactions_ section splits your block rate into two values: - Blocked by you – transactions that your own risk strategy blocked, such as by a rule or a machine learning outcome - Blocked by Checkout.com – transactions that one of our strategies blocked Together, the two values equal your block rate. We break down our own blocks into the following categories: - Autopilot – transactions that Autopilot blocked - Compliance and policy – transactions that our compliance or policy rules blocked - Global fraud strategy – transactions that our global fraud strategy blocked The Autopilot category displays only if Autopilot is enabled for your account. The _Blocked by you_ table lists every rule in your risk strategy that blocked transactions, at both client and entity level. ### Risk score distribution If you use Fraud Detection Pro, the _Risk score distribution_ graph shows how many of your scored transactions received each risk score. You can switch between the following views: - _Overview_ or _Detailed_ – the total number of transactions per score, or the outcome of each payment - _Grouped_ or _Individual_ – transactions grouped into score buckets, or individual scores --- ## Generate a Fraud Detection report To generate a [Fraud Detection Report](https://www.checkout.com/docs/business-operations/prevent-fraud/retrieve-fraud-reports/fraud-detection-report.md), you need one of the following user roles: - Admin - Risk manager - A custom role with the `Create, edit, or delete rules` permission 1.
